Terms of Service

Version 2026-09-12 · effective 12 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and SHIMTU when you create an account or subscribe. Please read them; by creating an account you accept them.

1. Who you are dealing with

SHIMTU is operated by Alexandre Gilbert, Hardturmstrasse 122A, 8005 Zürich, Switzerland (“SHIMTU”, “we”). Contact: support@shimtuai.com. See the legal notice.

2. What SHIMTU is — and is not

SHIMTU calculates your astrological birth chart from the details you enter and uses an AI model to write interpretations, daily guidance, monthly forecasts and answers to your questions. All of this is offered for entertainment, reflection and self-exploration.

  • SHIMTU does not predict the future and makes no promise that anything it writes will come true or is accurate about you.
  • SHIMTU is not medical, psychological, legal, financial, relationship or safety advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services or a crisis line.
  • Texts are generated automatically by an AI model. They can be wrong, generic or inconsistent. Read them critically and make your own decisions.
  • Chart accuracy depends on the details you enter. Without an exact birth time, houses and the Rising sign cannot be calculated reliably and are shown as uncertain.

3. Who may use SHIMTU

  • You must be at least 18 years old. We check the birth date you enter and refuse accounts below that age.
  • You must give true details about yourself and use the account only for yourself. One account per person.
  • Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account until you tell us it was compromised.

4. Free and Premium

The Free plan includes a summary of your chart, a shortened daily guidance and monthly forecast, and three questions per calendar month. SHIMTU Premium unlocks the full readings and 50 questions per month. Plan contents are described on the Premium page and may be improved over time; we will not remove core features from a plan you have paid for during the paid period.

5. Subscriptions, prices and renewal

  • Premium is sold as a recurring subscription: monthly at USD 9.99 or yearly at USD 69.99. Prices are in US dollars and include applicable taxes (such as VAT) where they apply; the payment form shows the included tax before you confirm. The payment form may also show the amount converted into your local currency; that conversion is not an additional tax.
  • The monthly plan starts with a 7-day free trial for your first Premium subscription. A payment method is required to start the trial, but no payment is taken during those 7 days. You get full Premium access straight away. If you cancel before the trial ends you are not charged and Premium stays available until the trial ends. Otherwise the subscription converts automatically to USD 9.99 a month, with the first payment taken on the day the trial ends. The yearly plan has no free trial and is billed in full when you subscribe. The trial is offered once per customer: it is not offered again if you have subscribed before, including if you cancelled during an earlier trial.
  • Each plan renews automatically at the end of its period at the price shown at that time, until you cancel.
  • Payment is taken through Stripe's managed checkout when you subscribe and at each renewal. Under that arrangement Stripe (through its Link service) processes the transaction, issues the receipt and accounts for the applicable sales tax included in the price; your bank statement may show “LINK.COM*” followed by SHIMTU. If a payment fails, including the first payment after a trial, Stripe retries it. Premium stays available for up to 7 days after the failed payment date so you can update your payment method; if the payment has still not succeeded by then, your account returns to Free until it does, and Stripe may end the subscription.
  • You may switch between monthly and yearly at any time; the change applies immediately and the unused part of the current period is credited toward the new plan.
  • Before the payment form opens we show the plan, price, renewal and cancellation terms and ask for two confirmations: that you accept these terms and authorise the recurring charge, and that you request immediate access and understand this may affect any statutory withdrawal right. The Privacy Policy is shown and linked for information at the same time. We keep a record of those two confirmations.

6. Cancellation and refunds

  • You can cancel at any time from your profile (“Manage subscription”). Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep Premium until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting your account also cancels your subscription.
  • Premium content is digital and is made available immediately after payment. When subscribing you request immediate access and acknowledge that this may affect any statutory cancellation or withdrawal right, where such a right applies. Any withdrawal or refund right that the law where you live does not allow you to give up remains unaffected, and we will honour it on request.
  • Apart from that, payments already made are not refunded for unused time. If something went wrong with a charge — for example a duplicate payment or a service failure on our side — email us and we will put it right.

7. Your content and our content

  • You keep all rights to the details and questions you enter. You grant SHIMTU the permission needed to process them to run the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
  • Readings and answers written for you are yours to keep, share and use personally. The SHIMTU name, logo, design and software remain ours.
  • Do not use SHIMTU to generate content about other people without their consent, to harass anyone, to probe or overload the service, or to resell its output as your own product.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep SHIMTU running around the clock but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Chart calculations and AI answers depend on third-party providers and can be delayed or temporarily unavailable; when that happens we show it clearly rather than inventing content. We may change or discontinue features with reasonable notice; if we discontinue Premium entirely we will refund the unused part of any paid period.

9. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from your profile; deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is used by someone under 18, or is used for abuse or fraud.

10. Liability

SHIMTU is provided as an entertainment and reflection service. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions you make based on its content, or for indirect or consequential loss. We remain fully liable for intent, gross negligence, and personal injury caused by us, and nothing here limits rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived.

11. Law and disputes

Swiss law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Sales Convention. The courts of Zürich, Switzerland have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules that give you the right to sue or be sued where you live.

12. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms in a way that matters, the version number at the top changes and you will be asked to accept the new version before continuing to use the app. If you do not accept, you can cancel and delete your account; a paid period already started continues to its end under the previous terms.

Version 2026-09-12 (12 September 2026) describes the 7-day free trial on the monthly plan and that it is offered once per customer, what happens if a payment fails, the removal of the weekly plan for new subscriptions, and the confirmations shown before the payment form. The Privacy Policy is unchanged (version 2026-09-10).
